With all the buzz going around about physical activity, how often do we think of it in terms of its absence? Sedentary lifestyle is the unfortunate aftermath of any well-developed nation as our lives get overtaken by technology, replacing manual labor. So many these days have desk jobs that put a huge impact on our health. And even a daily morning workout won’t compensate for the lack of physical activity for the rest of the day. There are simple things that can be done to counteract that: taking stairs instead of elevators, parking farther away from the store, taking a brisk walk on lunch break, etc.

The goal is to get up and move around for at least 10 minutes every hour. There are also many fitness activity trackers on the market that can be programmed as a reminder to move around. Take care of you health today (and every day!) and you will be thankful for it tomorrow.
